Strategic business planning provides the organization with extraordinary value. Done right, the process creates clarity, consensus, and alignment around the firm’s most important strategic objectives. A comprehensive strategic plan provides both an energizing destination (why and where) and a detailed and actionable roadmap (what and how) for achieving the goal. There are a few investments a company can make in its future, more valuable than this.

Over the years we’ve completed nearly one hundred strategic planning engagements – for professional services firms of all sizes, disciplines, and market focus – employing our proprietary and proven approach. We begin first with a multi-faceted and comprehensive assessment of your organization in the current state, followed by a site visit to interact with and learn from key managers and staff. After that, we’ll lead the team through one (or two) facilitated planning retreat meetings with firm leaders (each typically 1-2 days in length).  Then after the retreat, we provide a draft strategic plan report, help you to create a short-term communications strategy, and outline initial steps on your path to success. But that’s not all, because we then stay with you for a calendar year after the retreat, with online quarterly follow up review and accountability sessions, 24/7 connectivity, and ongoing support for plan implementation, execution, and management.

Four Components of a Breakthrough Strategic Planning Engagement
What’s Your Business Angle?

Progressive, future-focused firms work continuously on their business (in areas they can control).
The firm’s business – and business model – includes strategy (vision, growth, ownership), operations (business development, projects, and organization structure), and people (professionals, support, and leadership development).
There are important questions, answers, initiatives, and actions to be taken within each subject area – but it’s a mistake to try and  do it all at once!
